Brazilian Butt Lift
A highly demanded procedure that involves transfering fat to create a natural-looking and fuller buttock.
Unlike other forms of buttock surgery, the brazillian butt lift is able to yield a more natural looking result with a lower risk of infection and has a better safety profile as compares to other procedures like silicone implants in the buttocks.
However, it is important to ensure that you are a suitable candidate with a healthy weight and of good health condition.
During your consultation, do ensure you are a suitable canditate for the procedure. Make sure you find a certified and experience doctor to perform the procedure.
The procedure is typically done under anesthesia but for smaller volume of fat transfer procedures, you may only require local anesthesia. Some patients may ask for an anti-nausea medication especially for those who would feel sick from the anesthesia.
To begin, your doctor will first perform a liposuction on the area that fat is to be removed such as the hips, stomach and thigh. This is done with an incision into the skin and then using a tube to draw fat from the area. Fat extracted is then purified and prepared for injection into the buttocks. You surgeon will then trasnfer the fat into specific areas of the buttocks to create the desired look. This may require approximate 3-5 incisions. Finally, the area will then be closed up with stitches and compression garment will be put on.
Expect to swell and bruise for several weeks as you recover. You will not be able to sit on your butt for up to 14 days and would need to sleep on your side or stomach until the area has completely healed.
Do follow your doctor’s aftercare plan closely. Some patients may require more than 1 session to achieve the exact results.
Results may be noticed after the first session. Some patients may need more than 1 session to achieve the exact results desired. Results will continue to progress and may take up to 6 months to see the full results from the initial procedure.
Results can typically last from several months to years.
It is helpful to keep a healthy and stable weight to extend the results.
As with all procedures, there are risks that you need to consider. These includes:
– infections
-scarring
-pain
-lump formed under the skin of the treatment area
-fat embolism in the heart or lungs
