Eyelash Serum (Latisse)
Latisse enhances the life of your natural eyelashes to be longer, fuller, and darker. Every hair on your body undergoes a lifecycle. Growing, transitioning, and resting before it falls out and making room for a new hair follicle. The cycle then repeats.
Bimatoprost ophthalmic solution 0.03% (AKA Latisse), targets the hair follicle by extending its growth phase in which the darkening (or pigmentation) occurs. Every hair on your body undergoes a cycle of growth, transition, and rest before falling out and making room for a new hair follicle to step in, which then repeats the same cycle.
The safety of this product has not been tested in pregnant women and therefore is not recommended in pregnancy.
You would need a prescription from your doctor before proceeding. When applying Latisse, make sure your face is clean, makeup-free and contact lenses are removed. Then use the included sterile applicator to swipe the serum onto freshly washed lids.
Keep this in mind to avoiding getting the serum on lower lid, because you might get a little too much hair growth for lashes to look natural.
Repeat this step for the opposite eyelid, and make sure to use a new, sterile applicator to help minimize any potential for contamination from one eyelid to another.
It’s really important to not stop use when you first notice growth. The general rule of thumb: The time it takes to see the lashes grow is how long it takes to see the lashes go back to normal.
Results may show from the 4th week and full results may take up to 16 weeks of use.
You may be advised to continue the treatment for maintenance to enhance the effects and results.
It is best not to reuse the applicator and do not use any brushes/applicator device other than the one given.
There might be a risk of irritation, itch, and red eyes.
Very rare risk darkening of the skin right at the border of the eyelashes, where the skin meets the hair but can go back to normal once you stop using the product.
