Fat Freezing
Also known as cryolipolysis, a procedure that helps get rid of excess fats. With a device that is able to cool and bring the body to freezing temperature as it freezes and kills fat cells at the area being treated. It is non-surgical and non-invasive with no recovery time needed. However, it must be administered by a certified and experienced doctor to prevent any possible post-treatment complications. As intended to reduce bulges, it is not a solution for obesity.
Some males undergo cryolipolysis as it has helped the reduction of men’s breasts.
However, there are certain groups of patients whom should avoid. Patients with cold-related conditions such as cryoglobulinemia, cold urticarias, and paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria should not proceed with cryolipolysis. Those with loose skin or poor skin tone may not be suitable as well.
After thorough examination is done to the area being treated, an applicator of the appropriate size will be determined. The site will then be marked and gel pad will be placed to protect the skin. Following, the applicator will be applied and buldge is suctioned into the hollow of the application. As the temperature inside inthe applicator drops, freezing the area. Some discomfort may be experienced from the pull. The treatment typically last up to an hour until the applicator is removed. The site is then massage intending to improving the final results.
Results will gradually show as fat cells eliminates for over 4 to 6 months.
No activity restriction. Most patients do not experience pain but should that happen, do contact your doctor. While recovering, do avoid swimming, spas, and sauna for about 3 days. Stay away from physical exercise for up to 10 days and it is best not to go ahead with other aesthetic treatment for at least 2 weeks.
It may take up to 6 months for fat cells to leave the body and an estimate of 20 percent of fat reduction.
While success rates have been high, it can remove areas of fat but it is not complete removal. Results can vary from person to person.
Lifestyle and food intake do play a critical role. Therefore, do keep up with a healthy diet and active lifestyle.
